Component-Level Workflow Tracking

We need to track individual components within a single order through different production stages. Currently, Factory's workflow operates at the order level, an entire order can only have one workflow status at a time (e.g., "In Production"). This doesn't work for complex jobs where different components follow different production paths.
Job: Custom fabrication order with multiple components
Part A requires: CNC → Laser → Wrapping → Assembly → Paint → Packing → Install
Part B requires: CNC → Assembly → Paint → Packing → Install (skips laser & wrapping)
Part C requires: Laser → Wrapping → Assembly → Install (skips CNC, paint, packing)
We can't track which components are at which stage. The order-level workflow status doesn't reflect the reality of our production floor.
What we need is a way to see that Part A is at "Assembly," Part B is at "Paint," and Part C is at "Laser Cutting", all within the same order. This impacts our daily production workflow and ability to accurately track job progress.

Lime Crocodile - have you looked at tracking these items using our Workflow Line Item cards functionality? This allows you to track individual line items of an order independently, placing them into specific statuses unrelated to the overall job's status.

I have this issue too and currently just dont input these jobs into factory. The upcoming "make for stock" function ive been promised is happening will make this much easier for us at least, because the majority of sub kits are pre made and stocked, and the slowest sub assembly is the pull through.
