One of our biggest frustrations with the Factory platform is the fact that when reviewing a Sales Order, there is no option for a consolidated report. Our jobs often have multiple labour lines as well as materials added to the Sales Order, and this means there is a lot of scrolling when reviewing the transactions before calling an invoice.
I've included screenshots below showing the information from a job in Factory compared with the same information in our previous software. Note I have blacked out employee names in the examples.
As you can see, in the old software, all information for each line of labour is shown on one row, instead of over 2 or 3 large rows. This means we can review the information at a much faster rate.
Our suggestion to improve this would be to have the option to export the SO to csv format, with all information for one line of entry showing as one row on the csv.
Hopefully this example makes sense. Having the report in csv format would also allow users to run specific reports using the data in the sales order (e.g. sort by just one employee, % of total costs per employee, etc.).
For additional context, we do not use the Timesheets feature in Factory and instead add each employee as a product in the product catalogue. This is due to the nature of our work as we do not manufacture a specific product, and our labour is essentially the product. The features in Timesheets as they stand at present do not suit our requirements.
Thanks :)
