Would be great to be able to put a kit in another kit while adding items on the sales order, sub kit wouldnt work for this because the items inside the kit change from order to order

Hi Urban Seahorse - can you help me understand this one a little more, mate. You can currently add a kit inside another a kit on the Sales Order, however it will automatically insert it as a Sub-Kit within that kit. You can also add a new Sub-Kit on the Sales Order 'on the fly' and build it out within that specific job. It's sounds like this wouldn't work? Can you step me through what the desired behaviour would be?

This is critical for us, we have spent hours making kits that integrate our laser cutting process, we need to add these to our high level kits.
We also cannot find a decent workaround for this.
Kits are the reason we signed up to factory, wish we had of know about this issue

Extra Cheetah: Hi Mate - for this one, can you step me through what you're looking to do? Right now if you add a kit inside another a kit, it will automatically insert it as a new Sub-Kit within that kit. Is this what you're after, or something else?

Paul Lutkajtis I've made a heap of kits for our laser cutting process that includes material, cutting costs and labour.
We make custom items and use a (on the fly) kit to itemise these on the order. This allows us to build out the item within the custom made (on the fly) kit by adding materials, labour and such and this only shows 1 item on orders and not the 10 items that go into the kit. (our desired intent)
When I try to add a pre made library kit to these on the fly kits it won't let me add them.
Stuart, our on boarding tech has had a go at figuring this out but to no avail.
Hope this makes sense, it's a real pain point for us at the moment and any way we could fix/workaround would be amazing.
